Roccafluvione

The Town
The agritourism property is located in the town of Roccafluvione (299 m above sea level), in the province of Ascoli Piceno.
The town’s name derives from its location on a rocky outcrop and from the Fluvione River that flows through it.

The Surrounding Area
The vast territory encompasses as many as 31 hamlets. Among them, the hamlet of Meschia is famous for bouldering and is a popular destination for lovers of natural rock climbing. The landscape is varied, and there are countless places to visit.
Roccafluvione is characterized by the presence of numerous ancient water mills and a unique natural bridge formed by the joining of two rocks, known as Ponte Nativo.

Churches
Also worth noting are two Romanesque churches: the Church of St. Stephen the Protomartyr (12th century) and the Church of Saints Hippolytus and Cassian of Pedara (12th century).

Events and Local Specialties
The town’s most famous specialty is the prized black truffle, celebrated at a festival called “Truffle & Co.”
Another distinctive event is the annual plant fair, held on the second Sunday of March.
